Hi KOffice-Hackers!
It would be great to have Syntax-Highlighting in KWord for presenting Source-Code. There could be either references to external files or the contents could be directly inserted into the document. You could choose different styles (for example grayscale-highlighting or "normal" highlighting). Solutions in other programs are very bad. LaTeX's highlighter doesn't support Unicode (the patched version has also problems) TeXmacs, OpenOffice and MS Office doesn't have syntax-highlighting. But this feature would obviously be very useful. The User |

Basically you\'re asking for a katepart \'shape\' for KOffice. I would imagine that that is technically possible.

Well, I've created a basic version some days ago, but there's a bug in the Kate-KTextEditor-Implementation so it's not yet usable.

I have now implemented it. (you can find it in trunk/playground/office/highlight)
It's not yet perfect, but the basic features are there. The new KTextEditor-HighlightInterface has made it possible. Thank you, Milian. Please mark it as done. |
