For most of my day-to-day work I'm using the shell, but dolphin's comfort is becoming increasingly appealing. Thus, using the Terminal Panel for navigation and having the rest of Dolphin following where I'm going using the shell would be a great feature.
(Currently, it's only the other way around: the Terminal Panel is following where I'm going with the Main Panel.) |

I'm curious how such a mechanism would work: would Dolphin become aware of the, "cd" command in the terminal, or would it just use, "pwd" whenever there's new input in the terminal and change to that directory?

Probably the latter, since it would have to take into account scripts and aliases.

At the moment, it all hinges actually on the embedded Konsole (konsolepart). Dolphin itself, or any konsolepart using application like Konversation or Yakuake, can't reliably and automatically detect the current directory in the terminal. This info has to come from konsolepart, which, at the moment, doesn't do so. I think it's a long-standing wish and many are waiting for it to happen.
P.S. And when I say "reliably", I mean a consistent, application-independent way to implement it, not something like Dolphin using pwd/$PWD to do that. Since that method would have to be duplicated for each and every application.

This has been implemented. Not sure from which version number, but it's available in Dolphin 2.2.

General prohibitions on the procedure:
Do not come to your appointment with a sunburn on the treated area. Do not go to the solarium a few days before the meeting, exclude the use of self-tanning. Avoid drinking alcohol or caffeine before the procedure. This will minimize swelling after the procedure. Do not exercise on the day of treatment. Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, and/or ibuprofen, unless medically necessary, 48 to 72 hours before your procedure. Do not do facial or LED treatments 4 weeks before the procedure. If there are any spots, pimples, active herpes, skin irritation, the master will not be able to perform the procedure until the spot or problem area disappears. You will not be able to donate blood for some time after the procedure. Find us by request permanent makeup near me, after the procedure, the master will once again explain the rules for facial care at home. |
