In KDE there are two sections for set the control energy saving monitor. One is located in
General section -> System administration -> Display and another one is locate in Advanced -> power management -> Profiles (for each profile there is the possibility to changing the energy management) This way of handling is not clear and creates ambiguity. I believe that the two sections should be unified. I think is appropriate to provide the default settings (these can be changed by user) that will be considered when the profiles are disabled. |

The Energy KCM (Display->Power Management) was removed already from KDE4.4 code. People should now use Advanced->Power Management.
