If you download a file, move files or do something similar, you get a nice little notification looking like this:

This is very nice, but instead of just rotating, the circle should show the progress of the actions, this could look a bit like in google chrome:

This would make it easier for the user to see the status of his actions, there would be no disadvantages as the rotating circle does nothing more than indicate that something is happening.

But Google Chrome use many notification for each application downloaded.
The plasma notification is used for all actions in the same time. For example when I download a file and burn a cd.
Any suggestion for this problem ?

I think that whatever you do it does always show several progressbars in the "slide-up" one for each action and one bar for all actions together, please tell me if I'm wrong, but this way, you could just use the data of the "global progress-bar" for the circle.

It does look like this for several actions (this is a file download and moving of a folder).

What also might be an option to consider would be to make the progress of each action visible in one or the other way, the way I thought of this would be to make it look kind of like this (well... it shouldnt look like a cheap drawing, but you might understand the idea of several circles for several actions, I know this wont be possible for very many actions (imagine 27 circles) so there could be some kind of barrier as well (like the most actions to display like this would be 4 or something, with a fallback to the mentioned above design)), so here goes the mockup:

I've been thinking about this same idea since I started using chromium. I think the circular progress should apply to the global progress as for detailed information you have to click the notification and tasks icon anyway.

This change would improve a lot the feedback it gives to users.
Also there is already a circular graph plasmoid for kget that could be used.

I agree with previous comment.
It would be great to see this implemented.

Or you could use the current progress-bar when multiple actions are taking place, and the 'chrome like' notification for single files.

It's already fully functional in trunk so I am marking it as done.
