I would really like to see the possibility to lock panels like "places" or "info" in dolphin...

i want to get rid of the small buttons (x and <>) and the frames - (this would provide a much more clean layout)

also it would be great for new users so the can not accidentally remove a panel.

But wouldn't this disable the shortcuts as well to hide/show panels?

I would like a way to "lock" the possibility to drag/move the panel but hiding should be possible with shortcut.

Okay, this seems to be implented in 4.7 release.
