Is it possible to add tv series databases like http://thetvdb.com/ ??
Im new to using the app but love it already compared to meds movie manager. I see the app GCstar has tv series databases. I tried to tinker with the database section and "new" didnt actually let me add anything new. figured it wouldnt be a bug report but more of a forum thing. thanks. |

I need to figure out if the TV Servies collection should be a separate type, like GCstar has it, or if there's a way to integrate it into the existing video collection...
You should be able to add any new fields you want, like episode list or whatever. But none of the automatic data sources (like Amazon, IMDb, etc.) will be able to add data to it. |

Moved to brainstorm since it is a feature request.

I would like to probably search with amazon to come up with a tv season or something to work around the issue but it doesnt even show up as an option with my "movie" database I made. Dont know if I would have to make another database and try to merge the movie one with it and maybe then amazon would show up. |

Amazon will give you results for TV seasons when searching from a movie database. It just won't include episode information, or anything of that nature. If you're creating a fully custom "movie" database, be sure to start with the default one and remove fields and then add yours. Starting with a fully custom collection means there's no way for Tellico to know it contains "movies" |

Amazon doesn't show up as an option when I do searches from my movie database. How would I fix that? thanks |

For Amazon in particular, you have to register for a key in order to do searching. In Tellico, you can open the Settings, and go to Data Sources. When you add an amazon source, it will have a link to register. |

k thanks for the work on tellico.
Im going to just add the titles myself to the movie database I have. I created a new field called TV with a check box so I can check that it is a tv listing. hope we come up with something cool as a real solution for the tv listing (cover art and stuff would be cool if we could pull it from a site). I decided not to reg. for amazon since you said it wouldnt be able to pull anything thats useful. |
