Unable to login using new username

Tue Sep 17, 2013 12:39 pm
Hi Team KDE,

When I registered, intially I was assigned the username "asawhney". Later, I changed it to "aliter42".

As of now, I am not able to login using my new username "aliter42". I can login only through my old username "asawhney".

Kindly look into this issue, Thanks for the help.

This issue is caused by the KDE Identity integration with the forum.
When you first login to the forum, it allows you to choose a "Display Name" which is used on the forum only. You chose "aliter42" in this case.

As you used KDE Identity to login, you will always need to use your KDE Identity username and password to login - those have remained unchanged. Your Identity username will not be displayed anywhere on the forum - it will only use your Display Name.
