Hello Forum folks,

I've looked over the Forum organization, and think it might fit as a sub-forum in KDE Development > Releasing & Packaging (or next to
Releasing & Packaging). Admins would be Jonathan Riddell, Harald Sitter, and perhaps me, Valorie Zimmerman.

Perhaps if the forum gets busy, we could move it up as a main heading in KDE Development?

We're going to make some heavy changes to the forum structure soon, but we should nevertheless be able to find a place for Neon if the rest of the team agrees to add it.

Do you have a short (one-sentence) description of the forum we can use?

Yes, "KDE Neon provides an easy and elegant way for people to test the latest from KDE, or use the latest releases of KDE Software."

Is that acceptable?

Is Neon an official KDE project? To me it still looks like distro-specific, and so should stay in a different place of the hierarchy than what "officially sanctioned" is (because, IIRC, it has no official endorsemen).

Hi Einar; we are not official yet, so there is no hurry. We're in incubation: https://community.kde.org/Incubator/Projects/Neon

One part of that is establishing a Forum.

Hi mods, I was told in the sysadmin chan to submit a ticket for a new forum, so I've done that. As discussed above, I said:

"I've been told this is the place to request a new forum, rather than on the forum itself. It will fit in KDE Development > Neon, or perhaps as a sub-forum in Releasing & Packaging.

We're in incubation: https://community.kde.org/Incubator/Projects/Neon but will soon be in release, and want to have the forum in place before that.

Added information: Neon is due to be publicly announced at FOSDEM this weekend, so it would be good to have the forum open and linked in those announcements.
