Cannot start software manager...

Mon Jul 03, 2017 7:52 pm
E: The package artisan needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.

This is the error message that I received after going into software sources to try to find a maintenance fix for software manager...

Now what?

I don't know what you mean by package artisan, could you be a tad more detailed about which distribution and version you use?

Because what you describe might well be a distribution specific problem, or just a missing package in your isntallation

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Hope you don't mind me adding my 2 cents worth? No need to click links they are for OP to consider

there is a artisan plugin for a non-ubuntu package called sublime Text that claims it is
Sublime Text is a sophisticated text editor for code, markup and prose

https://www.sublimetext.com/

so OP may indeed need to expand on what he is using possible he is looking for
https://packagecontrol.io/packages/Artisan

but if he is looking for that he may like to see
This project is no longer maintained
