Hi;
I saw this news https://alternativeto.net/news/2021/2/v ... -features/ and I would like to install NeoChat on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS O yeah, I don't like Flatpak or AppImage, where I could find the .deb ? Why providing an .exe, .dmg and .apk but not a .deb and .rpm ? Also; NeoChat is not available when we want to ask a question about an apps guided.php?stage=2 |

Someone has to make a deb file for it, basically. Or rpm, or <insert-distro-packaging-system-here>
The developers offer the flatpak or appimage as these work on *any* distro (and don't have to create packages that work on every individual variant or release) , while debs only work on Debian or Ubuntu-based systems, and have to account for differences in dependencies between different releases. Nothing is preventing someone from creating a Debian or Ubuntu based package or repository. As this young project matures a little, I am sure it will make it to more distros' software repositories, or users will set up their own (such as a PPA, etc)
