Maybe for the latinistas among us, fori.kde.org might be useful as well... ;)

And of course all possible translations for theplacewhereusersaskquestions...

But seriously, as this is an international forum, forumS would be a nice addition, but all other variants would be a bit too much ;)

"forums" sounds like a horrible plural for forum, though. I think the original latin plural should be "fora".

You are correct.

Does that matter? "forum" is a latin word, even when used in an english context.

It does not matter for "forum" because that is also English, however "fora" is not English, and if you list all the sub-domains of kde.org ( dig axfr @ns1.kde.org kde.org ) you will see that there are no non english names.

I would like to end this discussion with this link...

We will look into the possibility of having 'forums' as an alias for 'forum'.

forums.kde.org is now an alias for forum.kde.org.

I think this is breaking logins, can someone double check this please, i noticed it a few days ago, i initially thought it was because of my firefox settings but all other sites are uneffected.

I'm typing this now as a logged on user, but if i visit http://forums.kde.org/newreply.php?tid=27546 in a new tab i have to login again, the login shows the success message and then goes back to the login.

if you plan to remove the alias you better do it fast before forums.kde.org links propagate throughout the net

OhReally - could we please have a redirect added to Apache so that forums.kde.org -> redirects to -> forum.kde.org?

I think it's not an Apache problem, but a cookie thing; I will look into this.
