As the title suggests it would be much appreciated if you could provide a link to "mark all threads as read" which can be found on the main page for example.

Thanks

Hello,

There already is a "Mark all forums read" link on the index page.
What all advantages can a link on the "View New posts" page have over the index page link? (as ideally, it should perform the same function as the one that already exists)

We will have an "Unanswered Posts" link there soon. I think more links would make it look cluttered. Although, we can relocate the "Mark forums as solved" link to improve it's visibility if we find a better place for that.

We'll, it's pretty much hidden from my eyes too :) Can be found here:

Ah, only from the second read I understood your post correctly. Actually for me it would make sense too. I'll promise to vote for this :-)

When I visit this page:
http://forum.kde.org/search.php?action=getnew

I cannot simply click "mark all as read" but have to go to the index instead to perform the task. What I want is the link on that page. Other forums do that as well, I consider it a usability issue.

Features are board software specific. It is true that this indeed is something that would be good to have. Keeping that in mind, we have decided to implement this.
Please check out after about a week or so.

Regards.

Great to hear that. Thanks, looking forward to next week.

Btw.: If you need help, I could give it a try. I heard that you guys put up a public repo with the sources (could you maybe give me the link once again?), so I could take a look. Or I could write a patch against vanilla MyBB.

Patches won't be installed here. We want to keep the board vanilla to simplify updates. So patches to MyBB will only work here if you can get them included in MyBB; otherwise, create plugins.

"Mark forums read" now implemented. It is now globally available at the page header.

Don't forget to hit the "It's Solved" button if this works out for you. :shade:
