Inactivity message is bugging

Tue Apr 14, 2009 5:47 am
I am getting every day since the last weeks an inactivity message for the forum. That's basically fine. However, I currently don't have the time to contribute to the forum, but I might want it at a later time. But the user is getting every day and new message... stop this! It's quite as bugging as spam mail. Might be an honest thought behind it, but it is absolutly discouraging getting every day such a mail, forcing the user to post somewhere. Send the mail 3x, that might be okay... but no spamming like this. This is really forcing to close account and avoid to register in the future. Or even better: Let the user login to confirm that he/she is still interested in the account.

Deepest apologies for this and any problems it has caused you, it appears you have uncovered a ( as yet unseen ) bug in the software we use. I have temporarily disabled the functionality, and will investigate at getting this problem fixed.
