On the left you put the same menu items as on kde.org
Do you think that is necessary? Maybe better to place a small selection of kde links. and forum actions on the left. Just an idea.
Please visit http://userbase.kde.org as well to get an overview about what kde can do for you :-)

Agree completely; it confused me for a bit, trying frantically to find forum actions.

Changed it, now you have the most important forum functions on top of the menu. A little bit of external references should stay to help new users get to know KDE.
But open for suggestions. |

writing this on an asus eeepc I have to say that at least the search results get rather narrow because of the left menu in low screen resolutions. What about an option to hide it?

You mean the search results only or other parts as well? should be no problem to disable it on the search.

having seen the menu only on the start page and in the search results, I would say, remove them from the search for a better overlook and leave them on the start page...
