I registered and posted 1 thread,
stating sth like: kde has released an unfinished pile of cr*p Obviously they couldn't ban me for that, what they could and did do however, was give me an ip-ban over it, how LAME can you be?! and poor moderator pcbookhaven or whatever, fooled me in my thread saying that there were site issues... there indeed were, but he didn't even realise it was a deliberate ban Upon connecting to their little den on irc, they told me they had indeed banned my ip, but not at all because of me thread, because of 'excessive querying' ... they tried to fool me again that time, because I have done no such thing.. well yea sure.. if you hold f5 AFTER reciving a ban... that might result in a few requests.... nehow, my ip is still banned, and I figure this message will be deleted aswell, along with my user-account Because what they did is censor what they don't like, and they can even get away with this... PLEASE PEOPLE, DO NOT Honour the KDE Community Code of Conduct, for there is something seriously wrong with it... we do not want to go to hell now do we?! Be sure you remain able to live with yourself people, be a good person, and sleep well at night, knowing that at least you yourself are not corrupt to the mods who didn't know of this, and who replied to me even: get out man! salva te! you do not want to be associated with this... and again, but this time I will not retract my post, to the one who did this to me: there's still sth in my frontpocket, come and get it |

First of all, you need to calm down. I know it's human to get frustrated, but there are much better ways to vent your anger. Different persons prefer different methods; I personally like to do some sort of physical activity, such as going out for a bike ride.
Now to the main issue. If we really wanted to censor you, why didn't we remove the thread? Because it's this thread that you're talking about, right? Yes, we had some serious load issues a few days ago. It's also been posted in Announcements. I don't know if you're the same guy as tOnCoffie on IRC, but when I asked who he/she was einar said the following to me:
If it still isn't fixed, you should contact the admins - bcooksley is probably the one you should talk to. Like other online communities, the KDE forum has its "rules", namely the Code of Conduct. If you disobey the rules there'll be consequences - surely that isn't a surprise to anyone? If there is anything in the Code of Conduct that you don't like, you're welcome to discuss it.

It was evident that you didn't do that. But we weren't lying (see the announcement Hans mentioned): we had more than an hour when the server was under excessive load and our admins were barely able to connect, let alone try to fix that. The logs showed a lot of queries coming from that IP, so we asked the KDE sysadmins to block it, because at the time we were genuinely worried that there was a dDoS attempt. And yes, we asked the sysadmins to unblock it, but they're always overworked, so it may take a while. If it gets too long, we will ping them again. I can understand your frustration (I have a NATted ISP, so if some place bans the IP I can no longer access that), but no one wanted to silence anyone. We've had our share of strong debates in the forums, and some messages were pretty critical of KDE. If we had really followed your reasoning, this forum would have had 3 and a half members by now.
The CoC does not talk about "censoring", nor about "silencing dissent". It's merely a way to promote constructive discussion, even on opposing viewpoints. Now, I think you should go over what we talked about in IRC and calm a little. No one wanted to make fun of you. No one even wanted to silence you. We tried, the best we could do, to solve the situation. EDIT: Dirk (one of the KDE sysadmins) just unblocked your IP, and he said the following just minutes ago on IRC:
So, it looks like you're behind a NAT, and someone in your ISP's private IP address space is sending out "bad stuff". A block on that IP will cut off that, but also you. Currently it's unblocked, but if it stalls the forum, we'll have to block it again. You should contact your ISP and see if they can solve the issue.
