I just joined the forum and noticed something about karma statistics. What are they and how are they gained positive or negative?

Karma points are given by members to other members for any reason, which they usually state.

Generally Karma reflects the user's image in the forum from the point of view of other members. Any member can give a +1, neutral or a -1 karma depending upon their own personal choice.

So just how do you give another member Karma . . .? I didn't find anything in perusing the FAQ . . . I haven't really seen any "button" or something yet. Thanks. |

To the left you see "Karma: x" where x is a number, e.g. 0. If you click on that number you can see karma statistics for that user and give karma yourself. You can also click on the number after "Karma:" in user profiles.

That's really not intuative. Can you make that button appears outside?

Considering that forum members are also notified who voted them how, a "revenge -1" by downvoted trolls is just as likely. |

That would be more userfriendly actually. Unless there's a good reason not to have it there. So, is there?

Simply not available in that Forum version, and I guess it has been left to clicking the number because a button there would add unnecessary bulk
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
