And why should we do that? You can edit your posts if you want those to be changed.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

What's with the bìtchy attitude? I know I can edit them, but that doesn't wholly remove them. I'm not asking you to murder someone for me, just erase what I cannot... |

Well, we simply don't remove posts, since that breaks threads in a forum, unless the posts are violating the policy.
Also I can't be sure you are the person who did these posts, unless you can confirm this in a private return mail to the Forum administrators, from the mail address this account has been registered for. Simple security precaution. I will need to discuss this with the other forum administrators anyway.

Ugh, if I have access to this forum account, chances are I've got access to the email too.....

You posted to a public forum. There was no deception - you knew that from the start. Topic threads should not be broken, for the sake of others who participated in them.
Please consider your attitude - it leaves much to be desired.

Did I ever say there was a deception? Although if you're going to put it like that, I didn't see any warning that I would be unable to delete my own posts, so therefore I did not 'know from the start'. |

RaiCoss,
While it's a shame that you want to leave the forums, you have to understand why we can't simply delete all your posts. It's easy to verify that you're the owner of the account (people are generally more careful with their e-mail than an online forum - and if someone else has access to your e-mail account, they can access pretty much anything with connection to that mail address). So why can't we do it? As Mamarok pointed out, removing posts from a specific user breaks topics. In your case it's not overly many posts, but imagine if someone with 1000+ posts wants to do the same. What can be done, without causing trouble to threads, is to delete your account. Please send an email to the Administrators (admin at forum.kde.org) about it. It would be worth noting that account issues such as this are best communicated directly to the forum staff rather than with a public post. Finally, note that you agreed on these terms when you registered. It clearly says "As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database".
"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

It also doesn't say that I cannot remove that info, but whatever, that really isn't what I was asking for. As for not removing it because if someone with 1000(s)did the same, it would cause continuity carnage to threads they had participated in, that is not really applicable here. You have said yourself that in my case it's not many posts, so why not just apply common sense to the situation? Do I really need to jump through hoops to be able to do something that nearly every other non-linux forum in existence allows me to do? None of my threads or posts contain anything that is useful in an archiving sense, and I haven't posted since last October, so as for breaking the flow/continuity of threads, I'm really not gonna do that... |

Further discussion on this matter should be made privately with the administrators, as it does not involve the entire forum.
