User Control Panel hard to find

Wed Sep 01, 2010 2:56 pm
Hi Team;
The link to User Control Panel has usability problem - it neither looks like other links nor has underlined style.

It took me (really advanced user) minute of googling and finnaly FAQ reading to find the link...

Thanks for the quality web site!

PS: the issue applies to other links too: View unanswered posts • View new posts • View your posts • View active topics.

When designing this i thought a separate panel for action links would be enough... :D

But to be serious, for me underlined links (without hover) in that panel look not so well unfortunately.
And before i thought too much of it it came to my mind again, that we should/could go the same route as the kde main site and use the chihuahua theme.
So, before putting too much energy into such details i will think about a chihuahua theme for this forums. Is that okay with you for the time being?

(Btw, this was no promise we really will do it, first it needs to be discussed ;) )

Thanks for the reply Ingo. Any way to emphasize the active/clickable elements will be good (let it be special formatting or button-like look). So OK!

PS: That said, the new kde.org style's links, when put inside a sentence, are also quite hard to find unles reader switches his brain to more 'attentive' mode (but I need to admint it's a bit better now than in the old times of kde.org).
