Currently downloading KDE 4.3 for Mandriva 2009.1 x86_64, and it\'s dead slow. No suprise with all the interest...
I would love if I could download the binaries using bittorrent when a new release is upon us. This way we could get fast download speeds and install from our local copy. The FTP/HTTP mirrors are slow to update, and the number of people interested ensures it\'s a full nights job to upgrade. |

I vote WONTFIX because this is not our job. KDE is not distributing any binary packages. Ask Mandriva.

As majewsky said, KDE does not release binaries. Further, bittorrent is not a good way to release binaries, most distributions user their own package management system.

Bittorrent can, in principle, be a good way to release binaries. You only need some official seeders, strong checksums and digital signatures for the packages (which are already state-of-the-art).
