KDE since 3.x have ability to show little animated icon near mouse, when application is starting. That's great, but I also know, that solution is messy looking to irritation of screen creature(amor) developer's(it isn't still part of KDE SC because a lot of hacks).

Actually Kwin+Kdelib supports additional space for window management. Kdelibs sets the whole white(empty) space of window to be redirecting events to window manager.

I will ask to show small icon near mouse indicating it's possible to move window. Additionally Kwin can show this icon once window indicates non-client title area.

I am not sure I am understand the idea, all windows can be moved under kwin.

Not really. Splash windows cann't be moved. But the idea is about indicating we can right click on window(without alt button preset) to move window.

I'm still not understanding the idea.

With KDE's ability to now move windows by clicking in any empty area and not only the titlebar I don't think the idea is still relevant. Closing.

You probably don't understood my idea ;-) .

I know, that KWin + Klibs now supports dragging by clicking on an empty area. That's quite fine, I always imagine this way of interaction and have nervous to clicking alt on moving(but that's still better than moving using titlebar).

Moving windows by clicking on whitespaces cases some problems. Imagine: how it behaves with noninteractive controls? Noninteractive controls, like text or images, don't have borders or different background than parent. It can make quite problems with D&D or labels/text. Try to drag update window, by unhide it form kupdateapplet on OpenSUSE. Now try find empty area near text at top of window.

I know, that better idea to fix this could be making noninteractive controls integrated with drag mechanism too, but also imagine how select/copy text without background?
