KDE could integrate an advanced mode.

In one hand, when someone isn't in the advanced mode, the options and other things that make apps too configurable, are hidden ( some examples are "about KDE", toolbars preferences).

In the other hand, when someone it's in the advanced mode, all options appears.

Why this? Easy, people who wants easy applications (newbies, people without computer knowledge, ...) can be at the basic mode, and people who wants fully configuration can activate the advanced mode.

Also, systemsettings should be like this too, hiding in the basic mode advanced configuration ( nepomuk,and also things like phonon).

This all have an explication, an option in the configuration it's an option that the user's have to configure or least look at it. If that weren't enough, this clutters KDE. A cluttered environment it's a complex environment so this may cause people to go to another environment (GNOME; XFCE; or even one of the new lightweight qt environment, razor qt, eggwm,...).

The change from basic to advanced ( or vice versa) is done through a checkbox in systemsettings.

I'm sorry, this has been proposed before and is simply not something the developers will do.

I really thougth that possible easyness could be another option.

And very good joke, I believed all that ,but it started to be strange when basic freedom would closed source.
