IMHO settings like that would be usefull for all widescreen users where every px for high is important. The title bar could be turned off I think many people don't need to look on it to know that they are running firefox, dolphin etc. I personally like the second mockup the best. Getting rid of the name field of the window and just recognizing it by an ico (enlarged to make it more noticable)

If not default maybe at least an option like that ?

I like this idea. It could be very useful.

The menu wont fill the entire title bar, there will be a little space before the menus, large enough to be easily clicked.

Also, the devs could join this idea with this one. It would save a lot of space.

EDIT: And I don't think circle menu is really a good idea. I can't see any advantage on it.

I like integrating it with the titlebar more, there is a lot more wasted space in the titlebar than there is in the toolbar in most cases. This idea also maintains the full menu bar.

I agree but, that's been said I really don't care. I'm starting to really like the global menu, provided that it still confuses me sometimes but I feel that with it space is least wasted.
But I agree with the whole idea of menu in title bar title bar is really "outdated" idea.
You don't need all that space just to state the name of the application.[hr]Updated to include tag.

By global menu you mean bespin Xbar (macos style) ? ... Anyway such an menu still needs space in a panel (or rather forces user to use two panel configuration) so it is still is wasting space... yeah I already considered using it

In those mockups there is a quite large space for those three blue lines. Of course clicking anywhere there would allow you to move the window. The menu would work in the same way icons currently work in the titlebar (you also cannot move the window while pressing on any of the current icons: Application icon, Show on all desktops, minimize, maximize, close ). That said the space left for moving area is still quite large.

That is because developers are already aware of the idea. The point of votes is to determine which ideas will be submitted to developers. Once the idea is submitted there is no longer any point voting.
