[DUPLICATE] Associate effects (or execute stuff in general) to mouse buttons
Tue Mar 24, 2009 1:33 pm
It would be very nice if one could activate effects (I'm thinking Present Windows here) or in general execute some action when certain mouse buttons are pressed. Here at work, for instance, we associated Expose (we're using Macs) to central mouse button and others to the back and forward button (zoom and dashboard). It's certainly faster than reaching for edges, sometime twice o thrice (kwin doesn't always "feels" it at the first try), to trigger them. You can activate stuff with a single finger move without losing focus on what you're doing. Wandering throght the screen or having to switch back and forth hands from mouse to keyboard should be put to a minimum IHMO especially from an usability point of view.
