When customizing keyboard shortcuts, it should be possible to combine mouse actions with the keyboard input. This feature is already available in Compiz, and could be very useful for making certain desktop effects easier to use.
For example, in desktop zoom, it would be easier to have a keyboard + mouse wheel shortcut (e.g. + wheel up/down) to zoom in & out from the desktop more fluidly than with pure keyboard shortcuts. The Mouse Mark effect would also be much easier to use if the draw function could be a combination of + Left Mouse Click to activate drawing, and then releasing the mouse button would stop drawing the line. Other users may have different situations where combining the mouse & keyboard would boost productivity, and adding this capability will help make KDE easier to use and more customizable. |
