[DUPLICATE] [Shortcuts] Make it possible to use mousewheel in keyboard shortcuts!
Mon Apr 27, 2009 2:09 pm
What I really miss since I use KDE is zooming with meta+mousewheele because its not possible to use the mousewheele in shortcuts/hotkeys.
Is there a general problem with this or does just nobody uses the mousewheele in shortcuts? |

Ctrl+Mousewheel zooms in/out pretty well for me. Or am I missing something here?

I think murray means zooming the whole screen in and out with kwin compositing. It has been mentioned more generally in the following threads:
[Global-Shortcuts] assign mouse buttons to keyboard shortcuts [Khotkeys] Plugin-based shorcut system (keyboard, mouse, lirc, joysticks, etc.) [DUPLICATE] Combine Mouse Actions with Keyboard Shortcuts [DUPLICATE] Associate effects (or execute stuff in general) to mouse buttons And other specific situations in these threads: [General] Make the back/forward buttons on a mouse useful [KWin] Window Maximise/Restore with modifier key + mouse click

Depends on what you want. If you want to use the mouse wheel in (keyboard) shortcuts, it would be a Duplicate yes.
On the other hand, ctrl-mousewheel already works as zooming in many KDE applications. In that case, it would be Already Implemented.
