I've just read that karmic is going to use devicekit-power and udev-extras to manage power management under gnome, and hal will be depraciated...
Is kde going the same way ?

I would enjoy it, because hal is unable to fix my backlight issue...

By the way, any idea where I have to report now a missing backlight management ?
kernel ? udev ? devicekit ?
