[DUPLICATE] [Dolphin] Add audio/video preview to the "File already exists" dialog
Tue Jun 02, 2009 8:33 pm
If you copy/move an audio/video file to a place which already has another file with the same name, the "File already exists" dialog will appear:
This is what it looks like now, for an audio file The tag information is currently not displayed at all (at least on my system KDE 4.2.88 ) The two black windows, are playing back the two files- at the same time Since this is not very "smart" (nor beautiful^^), I think something like the following should be a better solution: Here you have the "preview thingy" that is already present in the Information panel. (I didn't "fix" the tag information bug in my mockup, because I was too lazy, sry for that If the files were two video files, there should be a small area, where the video preview should be displayed instead of the tag information. I already posted this idea some time ago on the KDE bugtracker, but didn't get any comments on that yet. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=190471 What do you think? thanks! pano

This is a duplicate of [KIO] Previews for all files in File Already Exists Dialog and [KIO] Additional file information in File Already Exists Dialog.
