Some widgets like the notify pop ups are nice to drag to your desktop if they are going to take long, in order to use dashboard to check them out rather than have them stack up in the system tray.

My idea is so that you can either hold n your right or middle mouse button to drag locked widgets or hold down a key or keys while dragging the widget. This will allow these widgets to be easily movable without being moved by mistake.
