When organising plasmoids, often you want to align plasmoids with other plasmoids into neat rows. When moving or resizing plasmoids, it should detect edges and "snap" to those edges.
For example, I like to have a few folderview plasmoids. I place my first folderview plasmoid on the top-left of the screen, and widen it. I then place another folderview below the first. As I move it into position, it detects the left-edges of the plasmoids, and snaps my new folderview into place. Then I scale my new folderview, and as it nears the right-side edge, the right-side edge I'm scaling snaps to the same position. Holding down modifier keys, such as CTRL, like many graphical programs, could lock scaling/moving to the X or Y axis. Holding down SHIFT might lock scaling to the centre of the plasmoid. When moving/organising plasmoids, holding shift might show a snappable grid assisting is positioning elements.
