There are many, many great ideas in the brainstorm, but their all in one big lump once they hit the validated area.
This idea is to break brainstorm ideas into categories and types of ideas. While we have tags, they're not standardized and many of the "similar" ideas might not have related tags. Authors would be required to pick (multiple) categories & types, and once they are validated they would be sorted. Categories might be things such as: - Look, Feel & Effects - Plasma & desktop - Programs (work) - Programs (entertainment) - Back-End & Services - Integration & Non-KDE - Community Types of ideas are almost "priority" like - Completely New - Change - Upgrade - Polish I don't suggest categories like "important", as that implies bug type stuff. But Completely new is something like a new effect, new program, etc. Upgrade is taking something we have, and adding something. Change is just taking something that works not-so-well and just changing it for something else. Polish is taking something existing, and making the fine-tuned tweak. A temporary section for both categories and types would be "Sort Me", where any unsorted ideas could go for brainstormers to categorize. Any logged user might get to sort, but the idea author would get final say. We ditch the "Sort Me" categories once all the ideas are sorted. This could also just be an extension of tags.
