Right now this is the main advantage that compiz has against kwin: it's far more customizable, but more important, you can use mouse and keyboard for almost any effect.
For example in compiz: Zoom? ctrl + wheel scroll. Cube rotation? ctrl + alt + keys, or even better, ctrl + alt + mouse rotation. In kwin: Cube rotation? firstly keyboard key for showing the cube (why this extra step??), and then more keys to rotate. Zoom? again keys, to zoom in, to zoom out.. The main advantage of kwin is being more integrated with all the desktop stuff, but why should kwin loose the path to have both strengths? i mean, fully integrated and easy to use, that's the goal. What do you think? Regards |

There have been numerous requests for mouse button support for the kde shortcut system (which kwin effects use).
Man is the lowest-cost, 150-pound, nonlinear, all-purpose computer system which can be mass-produced by unskilled labor.
