Move menubar to titlebar

Wed Jun 09, 2010 6:29 pm
This is how it looks at the moment: we have a menubar at the left side and big empty spaces in the titlebar, with the possibilty to move the title to the right:

It is already possible to hide the menubar with ctrl+m or to take it out of the application (xbar plasmoid for example)

But why don't we move it to the titlebar?
At first, I am against Client-Side-Windowdecorations. The window decoration or kwin should take the menu out of the application. (May only be possible with Qt-applications)

But what do we do when the window is smaller than this?

I favor this way: A little arrow appears on the right, if you click it, an overlay shows the rest of the options, the same way as into the

toolbar

This saves much place, especially on netbook screens.
