In light of some of the complaints I have heard about KDE4 most of them are in reference to the default configuration.

If the first run configuration prompt were to return with options such as:
* 12/24 hour clock
* locale
* view (classic desktop, fancy desktop or netbook)
* desktop animations (set levels)
* etc...

it would help users to more quickly configure their systems for their preferences and resolve many complaints and repeat questions.

These options should not be too difficult to implement since they can be based upon pre-built configuration files.
