qt gtk integration

This has been an issue for a while; gtk apps look awful in KDE. Various different projects have been started to try and solve this; such as the qt gtk engine; and the oxygen them for gtk. Both have obvious shortcomings; the qt gtk engine simply will never be able to provide full integration (even if it did manage to one day draw all the widgets correctly) due to the lack of animation; and the oxygen gtk theme on top of suffering from the above is simply not at all flexible; it requires manually recoloring the theme every time you change your color scheme. I think that something much better could be done:

Why not make a "fake" gtk library that "translates" the gtk api and then used QT to draw the windows? This would provide almost perfect integration between the two toolkits. Unfortunately I am not a programmer; but I would be willing to pay money for this feature; I think that it is greatly needed!

qt gtk integration

I have often wondered, myself, why this or a similar approach hasn't been implemented.
Yes, there are many technical differences/incompatibilities between the two toolkits, but I see no reason why there can't be more cooperation/interaction between the two (if only that there be plans to add such in newer versions of the two libraries).
I personally would like to see a review of these topics to determine what can/should be done to provide better cooperation.
