I think all kde stuff should be kept in one folder ./kde
So, Plasma home folder should look like: Desktop Documents Video (and other normal folders not connected to Plasma) ./kde All hidden folders should be in ./kde This way users could backup one folder and move it to another PC with all Plasma and application settings. In ./kde could hierarchy like this:
Maybe this ./kde should be just called ./settings Would be great if Plasma and other desktop environments could develop one standard, because usually users have mixed applications from different desktop environments. |

Currently there exists .local and .config.
Problem is outdated applications doesn't respect this schema.

OK, moving this to invalid, the original post was from a spammer, please guys, pay attention to what you are answering...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
