Especially when applications are embedded via KParts into Konqueror there are problems with the shortcuts:
Shortcuts used in Konqueror and inside the embedded application (e.g. the editor-component) are ambiguous. You get an error-message when you use them. It would be nice when the embedded component would overwrite the existing shortcuts. When you see an editor you think that ctrl+c should copy text and not any file. It is the same with ctrl+f, ctrl+r, other shortcuts for the clipboard and many others. I think it would not be unexpected for the user, when the shortcut has a slightly different meaning because of an embedded component. There could be exceptions, but then the embedded application should decide, if shortcuts should be overwritten or not. But ambiguous shortcuts are simply bad. The User
