[INVALID] Raptor-menu in repositories

Sun Mar 22, 2009 12:50 pm
Hello.

I know raptor-menu is still under development, I know it's not stable yet.

Though, I would love to see this project available in an apt-get repository, in order to test it and notice progresses made by developpers.
I tried to compile it from source but I got lots of errors and to be frank... it's a real pain.. :'(

The problem is ... it's not possible to number the project "0.1 version" since it would mean it's a stable version.. "devbuild" or "pre-alpha" would have to be in the package name, imo.

I hope someone will package raptor-menu and make it appear in Synaptic soon :)

Thank you for taking time in making KDE better. But as I feel, it is a distro related idea that involves a packaging request.
Please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/NewPackages

Is it something else you are proposing?

Saying that "it's not stable" is a bit misleading. AFAIK, it's not usable yet.
