Adept should have the ability to shutdown the computer after updating.
Off the top of my head, there should be a checkbox and button on the button area of Adept. The checkbox would enable shutting down after installation, whereas the button would allow the user to specify certain settings, such as "Shutdown after x minutes, x hours" or "Download packages only" or "Only shutdown if no other users connected", etc. Cheers. |

Thank you for your input, but your idea is invalid for many reasons.
First Adept was developed by Kubuntu and not KDE. Second, Kubuntu will change it's package manager to KPackageKit in Jaunty Jackapole 9.04. So first I would advise you to upgrade to Kubuntu 9,04, then to check if KPackageKit lack this option, but AFAIK it was already there in Adept 2.0. And if it's not there then propose your idea on Ubuntu Brainstorm, a brainstorm for Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu.
