System Settings/Advanced tab/Device Actions allows some configuration of actions associated with various kinds of device. When trying to configure it so that Dolphin is the first (and not second) action offered when opening a pendrive, I found that:
1) There is no way to order the possible actions according to priority, e.g. I almost never use a digital camera, but Digikam is the first action offered and is preselected. There is also no way to indicate a default action. Thus every time I insert a pendrive I have to click at least twice to open the file browser. This quickly becomes annoying. 2) Furthermore, the selection criteria for each action specifies the values for certain fields for the device, but there\'s no list of valid values. The user has to guess at a value and if he gets it wrong the dialogue simply says the value is illegal. Since there\'s no online help for this, there is a usability issue which should be fixed. |

These are two separate ideas. Please make a separate post for each.
Man is the lowest-cost, 150-pound, nonlinear, all-purpose computer system which can be mass-produced by unskilled labor.
