You may want to try http://www.qt-apps.org/content/show.php ... tent=59218

It's strictly speaking not a KDE app but a Qt app, but personally I would be hard pressed to see the difference.

Hey, I finished installing qmmp, but when I run it, it says "qmmp: error while loading shared libraries: libqmmp.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". Anyone knows what's wrong?

Did you install it from a repo? If so, it may have been packaged incorrectly. The file should be installed in /usr/lib (or lib64 if 64-bit installation) so I'd check if the file is there first. On my machine, libqmmp.so.0 is just a softlink to libqmmp.so.0.2.3. There are altogether 8 libqmmp* files, but out of those only two are regular files.

Thank you for ur reply. I downloaded the source file from the link, then cmake., make, and sudo make install, not from repo

Ideas of the form "make an application like X" are not useful, since not everyone knows what the application is like. Please edit your idea to explain specifically what features you want and why you want them. Also, please explain the features sufficiently that people who have never used winamp can understand what they are and why we might want them.

Also, please explain what is wrong with Juk. You might consider submitting ideas for improvements for Juk, rather than an entire new applications. If you go this route, please be sure to submit one feature per idea.

I agree that I would like to see Juk improve, rather then have YAMA (Yet Another Multimedia App). Juk is nice because it's basic, but it's also really bad because it's basic (compared to Amarok).

Idea marked as invalid as it is too generic.

Please re-submit the idea with a proper description.
