I know there are many ways to switch desktops as it is. But one rather causal way to switch desktops could be to just wheel-scroll over that symbol in the upper right corner, to start flipping desktops (preferably with some kind of effect).
As far as I know, it's not possible to configure it that way? |

There's a similar idea about switching activities this way. Chani worked on mouse plugins for plasma. For example, this lets you set right click on desktop to show application menu, or scroll desktop to change the volume (although there isn't such a plugin yet).
She repiled via IRC that she didn't have mouse actions over the cashew (that's what the yellow symbol is called), but that she might add it.

I see. First thing's first, obviously.
Not that switching applications is the first thing I personally associate that corner with, but when the mouse action part has been implemented, I guess you could make it user configurable as what to change. |
