http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.ph ... ent=111750 kamoso is the "cheese" or the "photo booth" for kde.. kamoso allows you to easyly take photos or videos from your webcam.. this is a very promising application and i think it is what kde needs for webcamusers.. help them integrate webcamsettings into systemsettings and make kamoso the default webcam app !

Please explain what kamoso is in the idea. People should not need to follow the links in order to understand the idea, although the links can be used for further information.

I'm not exactly sure what you are suggesting. Anybody can write a system settings module. If kamoso is a third-party application, then they should write their own system settings module. If you want KDE to have a generic, application-independent webcam configuration module in system settings, then this has nothing to do with kamoso.

you're right.. the system settings module is more a seperate thing.. the kamoso people wrote on some blog that they could use some help with it.. thats all.. and i think the main "wish" or idea is to make kamoso a non-third-party application... an app like this should be a default kde app and shipped and be supported with it..

If you want a webcam configuration module, you should make an idea about that. As for including kamoso with KDE as an official application, it is the responsibility of the kamoso developers to get in touch with the KDE leadership, probably through the mailing list, IRC, or by contacting one of them directly, and make that case for themselves. You should see how the Cantor developer went about getting his application included. I'm closing this idea as invalid, since requesting this in brainstorm is not part of the established protocol for getting applications included and, frankly, given the time frames we are dealing with this is amongst the worst way to go about it. If you wish to request a webcam configuration module, please make a new idea.
