Combining menubar and top panel.

The idea is not based on ribbon.

Looks at: http://slawek.lach.art.pl/Ideas/GNOME3% ... 20idea.png and http://slawek.lach.art.pl/Ideas/GNOME3% ... %20bar.png

The ideas is hard to realize, but it brings better way to use application. The idea is sort of this ideas:

1) Implementing dockable menu entry/section
2) Allow to drag menu entries onto panels
3) Split menu sections not docked to menu bar with menu section docked to menubar
4) Allow to search/filter for menu items/options

Please don't remove this idea, but don't display it on the forum. I will describe separate ideas and links to this topic.

Could you please go into more detail. I don't understand what you are proposing.

I agree with expanding this idea and going into more details. But if I understand it correctly I must say that it's a good idea.
It just needs a bit more polishing, that's it.

It has been more than two weeks with no response, so I am marking this idea as invalid. If you intend to fix the problems please post the idea again.
