I think the title bar should be removed in order to maximize real screen state, and i'm sure this is very easy to implement in fact, also, making this the standard behaviour, would be great, so it can be in GNOME and KDE, configurable via the control panel or something. The menu bar is supposed to be displayed when launching the window menu, this is, right clicking the title bar, or clicking the icon. This also will give us a seal of originality, combining the ideas of the top bar, like in Mac OS X and the window menu bar, like in Windows. I think it's pretty usable because when you click an option on the current menu bar, the menu closes, so you have to reopen it. |

I'm not surprised if creating a window border theme which supplies the borderless you want. Also keep in mind that the menubar integration is already available in this idea: brainstorm.php#idea84726
