when I click more documents (I want to edit/view its )are initiated a number of kate instances equal to the number of documents that I open. I propose adding a feature that allows to force the opening of a single instance of kate

I don't know what exactly do you want.
When I open a text document and then I open another they are both opened in one Kate. Do you wish that a new document would be "over-ride" the already opened Kate document?

No,I wish that the document is opened and it was added to the list of opened files displayed in the documents tab |

Then something must be wrong with your kate settings, that's how it works here. It's a bug. Ask in KDE software/other software...

ok, if I select more documents in the same time, starts only one instances of kate, but if I select one document (kate opens the document) and then I select one other document, kate opens another instances of it. I wish an options that (force) only one instances of kate if it is already open. p.s. I'm sorry if I have not explained well my idea. |

Sorry I still think it's a bug.
If I open one document and then open another it opens in one instance of Kate... Please do go to help forum and ask there. If not it will get fixed in KDE4.4 (that's what i'm using)
