I think that it would be very nice, if for each application there was not only it's icon associated with it, but also a screenshot of the app and maybe even a little video or animation (128*128) showing the app in action.
That could be used for instance for flyover help together with a short description of the app. So people could see what an unknown app is like (games for instance) without the need to start them. In general i think it would be good if there was maybe an xml file containing more information about the app like the maintainer, project homepage, dependencies, used directories and so on. That information would be accessible from outside the app, in compare to the about data inside the app. |

Nothing significant can be shown in a 128x128 little video and a screenshot.
For example: kmail icon: an envelope description: Email client (simple and effectiv) A 128x128 15sec video can only show blurred text and nothing more. Screenshot same. |

I have to dis-agree with this one, sounds like it will just be another fluffy feature those of us with lesser PC will have to disable.

That is only useful on the first day you using one software, and on the whole rest of life it is useless and simply eating up your CPU cycle.
