use twitter for notifications

Mon Feb 15, 2010 2:42 am
at this moment you can set the option to get a message in your mail when someone response in one of your post in the forums, but a prefer to keep my mail inbox clean, so twitter looks a good idea.

- create a new topic
- set notify using twitter
- set you twitter account and fallow some kde-forums bot
- just wait.

Why not use the jabber notifying? Easy, fast and all one needs, to "keep the mail inbox clean". ;-)

You can propose that as a different idea, but i would check submitted before posting

Jabber notification is already implemented.

I don't quite get how this Twitter bot (although we would probably use identi.ca) would work. If a topic you watch has been updated, how would the tweet look like? Or do you want it to send a message to your Twitter inbox (if there is such a thing; identi.ca has it)?

Personally I put all forum notifications under a label (skip inbox) using a filter, which keeps my inbox clean. :)
