The Window i am talking about is found unter "systemsettings - add/remove software" (i think it's Kpackagekit) You will see it every time you install an application after calculating the dependencies. It shows the download and install progress.

At the moment the size of this very window changes every two seconds. each packetname has a diffenent length and therefore the window width changes with the name length...

this looks somehow unprofessional.. shorten the names... use a smaller font.. whatever.. but please do something about this sizejumping window..

Could you be more specific about what exactly you want.
I see that you taged as systemsettings, but I'm not sure which information windows you're talking about.
More information would be great.
I mean I think I know what are you talking about, but it would be better if you would specify it clearly.

That's distro related not KDE related. It's part of Ubuntu and AFAIK Fedora, but not part of KDE.
Idea invalid.
Propose this on Ubuntu Brainstorm http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/
