There are various good Gnome Themes and KDE Themes.
But KDE users are not able to use Gnome themes and Gnome users are not able to use KDE themes. There should be provision of Importing Gnome Theme in KDE Appearance Settings. There should also be provision of Exporting KDE Theme to Gnome. |

I don't think it's technically possible to convert any theme to/from GNOME/KDE. However there are lookalikes and thememakers can provide a theme that is available for both DEs.
Anybody a bit more experienced on this can contribute?

I would see it as being nice if we could import Gnome themes, I'm sure it wouldn't be awful to do. But I wouldn't make the export available because if you want to use a KDE theme, use KDE There's not much I can see in Gnome that can't be replicated in KDE.

Gnome themes can be used through Qt's GTK engine and Qt themes can be used in Gnome through GTK's Qt engine. What's missing is having GTK themes show up in KDE's "Get Hot New Stuff" (Gnome has no standard equivalent for KDE themes to come up in anyway).
Icon themes are standard as far as I'm aware and colour schemes are not applicable to Gnome themes generally, so there's no further wrk required on these. |

If export is available. We can export the theme and apply the theme to GTK applications like firefox which we use in KDE. |

Oh, very true. I had not thought about that, but it makes sense.

KDE, or any Qt app can use GTK theme, in KDE you can set it on system settings->style->GTK+.
