There are some good desktop effects available in KWin.

But still there are some effects of Compiz that are not available and setting Compiz in KDE is quite cumbersome.

We should port all the features of Compiz to KWin so that loading of Compiz is not required.

Have fun porting the effects. I tried to port some and I always ended up starting from scratch.

You'll have more luck requesting specific effects should be ported.

Please post a separate idea for each effect you want ported. Some effects people might want, others they might not, so asking them to choose all or none is not a good approach nor a valid way of measuring peoples' interest.

Please also check bugs.kde.org and this brainstorm forum to make sure they have not already been suggested. I know I, for one, have already requested the window shading effect be ported, so if you ask for that it will be marked as submitted.
